I had an absolute blast here, especially enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the quiet room and a delicious steak dinner at the pub next door. The lovely garden area was perfect for unwinding with a drink after a long day. The kids found the playground fun! The only downside was that the food took a little while to arrive, but definitely worth the wait! 😊

Spacious rooms provide some comfort, and the pub features an impressive carvery selection offering good value for money. Proximity to local attractions near the loch makes it convenient for exploring the area without needing extensive travel.
Internet connectivity left much to be desired, with frequent dropouts disrupting my plans. The lack of breakfast included in the stay was disappointing, especially when similar price points typically offer this perk. the walk to the restaurant for check-in and support felt unnecessarily cumbersome. Noise from the common areas can get a bit bothersome, especially in the morning.

I had high hopes for my stay at The Queen of the Loch in Balloch. The room had a lovely seating area, which was perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. The bed felt super comfy, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. check-in took forever, which was frustrating after a long journey. There was no lift to the second floor, making it a hassle to carry luggage. The dining experience left a lot to be desired. I ordered a chicken burger for lunch, but it was so overcooked that I couldn't eat it. Returned for the quiz night and my garlic bread was half-burnt. I also encountered issues with my steak not being cooked properly. Staff were generally friendly but seemed overwhelmed during busy times.

The stay featured a well-appointed double room and an excellent shower experience on the second day, which was a nice turnaround from an initial plumbing issue. The friendly staff enhanced the overall experience, and the separate building for dining helped maintain a quiet atmosphere. breakfast had inconsistencies, and there were several service lapses in the restaurant, such as the lack of a booked table and insufficient cutlery while dining.

A Mixed Bag, Great Food, Room for Improvement
We enjoyed our meals in-house. the flavors were top-notch and service attentive. Unfortunately, our room left much to be desired—dim lighting and a strange smell. The breakfast experience was disorganized. For better mornings, ensure breakfast ingredients are fully stocked. A great dinner makes it worthwhile!

Family with children enjoy some peace and quiet
Room was excellent and clean and I loved the way the shower curtain didn't stick to me while showering instead it curved outwards making it quite nice. Breakfast at the pub was good, lots of choice although I gave my son a hard time about asking for things to be removed when the staff just did it and gave him extra sausage instead which was a win-win for me honestly.
